Today we are announcing a new feature that will make your experience when getting a question answered even better, rich text answers. Previously when answering a question we only allowed someone to post plain text as the answer. This restricted the quality of the answers that could be written. Here are the changes you will notice with rich text answers:

The new WYSIWYG menu gives you the ability to customize the appearance of your answer and enhance it with better layout options. Below are the features available in the WYSIWYG bar.

This is pretty basic stuff I know, but we didn’t have it before so we are exited to offer it now

Need to lay out a list of steps? Now you can do this easily using numbering or bullet points. You can also create a list inside a list. Once again, not ground breaking stuff but we are happy to offer this feature within Answers.

We have always had the ability to paste a URL within an answer but not you can turn text into a hyperlink, saving you from having long and ugly URLs taking up valuable space in your answers.

This was a feature we wanted to add for a very long time. Now you can add images to your answers to help you illustrate your instructions. Very useful!
